Nice to Meet You

Amy Good is a Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P) and longtime personal trainer with over 15 years of experience helping people improve how their bodies function—and her work is deeply personal.

Amy didn’t grow up athletic or “naturally healthy.” Like many, she was raised on the standard American diet, struggled with her weight from a young age, and was frequently sick. By her early teens, she was dealing with chronic digestive issues and debilitating menstrual cramps that were never fully explained—symptoms she was told were simply “normal.”

As a child, Amy quietly dreamed of being an athlete. While she didn’t grow up playing sports, her curiosity about the human body and health never faded. Through years of trial and error with different diets, training styles, and lifestyle changes, she began to understand that the body’s systems don’t work in isolation—and that real health requires more than surface-level solutions.

Over time, Amy became an athlete herself, progressing from local 5Ks to competitive age-group triathlon and eventually racing bicycles professionally. Yet even with peak fitness, many of her health symptoms persisted. After countless doctor visits with no clear answers, she stopped accepting “normal” as good enough and began studying human physiology and functional health in depth.

That journey led her to become a Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and to open A. Good Life Functional Health.

Today, Amy helps middle-aged men and women who are tired of guessing, tired of feeling off, and tired of being told everything looks fine. Her work focuses on helping clients understand their unique biology, restore balance, and feel strong, energized, and confident in their health—now and long term.

Amy is known for making complex health concepts feel clear and approachable. She meets people exactly where they are, offering education, guidance, and support that empower clients to take control of their health in a sustainable, realistic way.

Her mission is simple: help people feel better in their bodies and confident in their health—without extremes, judgment, or quick fixes—so they can live A. Good Life.
